Yasmin’s depth and wealth of knowledge developed in her early years where she formulated her precise drafting and negotiating skills in high level Personal Injury cases involving fatal injuries, accidents in the workplace, industrial disease, occupiers liability, psychiatric injuries, and claims against local authorities.
In the field of Employment Law, Yasmin tackled systemic institutional practices of racist bigotry and sex discrimination in the workplace, unfair dismissal, and ground breaking aspects of law concerning transferred redundancy. Yasmin represented the employee’s position before Mr Justice Kean at the EAT at first instance on a novel point of law in the case of Church v West Lancashire NHS Trust 1998 1 IRLR 492 EAT and thereafter at second instance (No 2) where she was led by Cherie Blair KC.

IMMIGRATION LAW
Yasmin was one of the first female Asian Barristers on the Northern Circuit to practice in Immigration Law. She brings a wealth of experience and personal passion for the subject and practices in High Court Judicial Review cases, Asylum and deportation matters, business applications, dependents including spouses, children, and parents.
